Introducing Linus Moran Wedding Photography

There are so many brides and grooms who hate having their photograph taken! It must make the job of a wedding photographer seriously difficult - after all, the more relaxed a subject, the better they look. If you're awkward in front of the camera, then I recommend a reportage-style photographer like Linus Moran Photography. Linus is based in Dorset, and he's known for his natural, candid style. You'll hardly notice he's there, and that's how he gets the best shots of his subjects - when they least expect it! Equally, if you want the formal group photographs and detail pictures, he's just as skilled. Linus uses mostly natural light, to avoid those 'caught in the flashlight' moments, and his albums document the whole of your big day in all its beauty. I'm a massive fan, and I'm sure you will be too - just take a look at these gorgeous shots, and of course his blog. Linus' packages start from £995, and he's happy to travel across the UK and abroad.

Introducing Bob Owen Wedding Photography

Looking back, it's like my wedding passed in a flash. Or perhaps it was more of a blur - particularly after two glasses of champagne at our reception! I remember after our big day, we couldn't wait to see our official wedding pictures. We begged our friends to send their iPhone shots - just to try to piece together the bits of our big day that we missed. You're bound to feel the same way, and that's why I'm thrilled to recommend Bob Owen Photography. His beautiful reportage style captures the fleeting, precious moments of your wedding day, making memories on your behalf. With twenty-five years of experience, you can be sure you're putting yourself in good hands. Bob is wholly professional and easy going - just the type of person you'd want to have around on your wedding day. His packages start at a reasonable £1200, and he offers both the option of an album, or digital copies of your pictures. I've been enjoying looking through his blog - it's full of beautiful shots, and testimonials.

Introducing Guide To Be - A Brand New Wedding Review Site

As a complete devotee of travel review site TripAdvisor, I was thrilled to hear about the launch of a brilliant new wedding review site. Guide To Be is fresh out the box, exciting new venture designed to help you find the very best vendors for your wedding day. Designed to be written by brides for brides, it's the brainchild of the lovely Eve, who set it up after she struggled to find good recommendations for her own wedding. Can you believe it's the first user review site for UK wedding suppliers? It's exactly what we need! To encourage brides to get involved and write reviews, Guide to Be are offering a brilliant competition to win a 5 star break at Turnberry Resort & Spa.

All you have to do is write two reviews or more, to be in with a chance of enjoying a luxury weekend, including two nights accommodation, a three course meal and a bottle of champers at one of the UK's most romantic 5 star resorts. It's the perfect prize for a mini-moon, pre-wedding R&R or even a baby moon! I've written a few reviews already - take a look at my personal recommendations, including this one {below} for my wedding photographer Caught the Light!

Introducing Occa Home Wedding Gift List

Where are you going to host your wedding list? The afternoon my husband and I spent choosing all the items for our list is one of my favourite pre-wedding memories. We squabbled a bit over the mugs {I wanted pastel, he wanted bold}, but it felt like such a 'married couple' argument, that it was almost a romantic moment! Now, there's no need to traipse around the shops with a notepad - it's all gone online. My favourite website is the Occa Home Wedding Gift List. It's packed to the brim with over 20,000 stylish products, including 200 designer brands like Vera Wang for Wedgewood, Christian Lacroix Maison and Sophie Conran. I love the clean lines of the site - it's simple and easy to use, both for you and your guests. Here's my fantasy list {wish I could get married again!}, but be sure to take a look at Occa Home and pick your own favourites.

Introducing Guide To Be - A Brand New Wedding Review Site

Regular readers will know I'm always going on about the importance of personally recommended wedding suppliers, but what if none of your friends have got married yet? Or if you're getting married in a different part of the country? How can you find out whether all those local vendors are really as good as they say they are? Well that's exactly the situation Eve faced when she was living in Sydney, but planning her wedding in Glasgow. It was nearly impossible for her to visit lots of venues, attend caterer tastings and arrange florist consultations, and she really needed the inside scoop on suppliers. Eve was astonished there were no independent sources or dedicated wedding review sites {like Trip Advisor for weddings}, and so after her big day, she teamed up with her sister and launched Guide To Be.

This brilliant BRAND NEW site is all about connecting brides with truly excellent wedding suppliers, and I'm delighted to be part of the very exciting launch! The idea is that newlyweds write reviews of all the suppliers who helped out at their wedding, and then other brides-to-be can make an informed choice. I've already written several of my own reviews, so if you know of excellent wedding photographers, videographers, caterers, florists, dressmakers, etc, etc, head straight over to Guide To Be and get your review up now! Just imagine - your own experience could help that desperate bride struggling to find the perfect wedding band!

Introducing Brillpix Photography for Your Wedding

Brides often email me asking for advice on how best to spend their wedding budget, and in my view, your two top spends need to be 1. Your Wedding Venue, 2. Your Wedding Photographer. You want a venue that speaks for itself - somewhere beautiful, that doesn't need many decorations and details. That way, anything you add will be the fun cherry on top, rather than a necessity. A great venue will save you money - scrimping is a bad idea. The same principle applies to your wedding photographer. You need to allocate a decent chunk of your wedding budget to make sure you find someone fabulous. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and it's difficult to emphasise how important your wedding photographs will be to you after your big day! They will be EV-ERY-THING! And that's why I'm delighted to introduce Brillpix Photography. Steve Brill understands weddings, and he understands what brides and grooms want from their wedding photographer. As well as being brilliant {sorry, obvious pun!}, he's experienced, friendly, professional, and ridiculously passionate about his job. He really cares about his couples, and on your day, he'll be there when you need him, and quietly snapping fabulous shots when you don't! Brillpix Photography prices start at a very reason £995 for all day coverage, including a free engagement shoot {essential in my view!}, and all your edited photographs on a disc to print as you wish. Steve's based in Northamptonshire, but happy to travel across the UK, so snap him up fast!

Introducing My GuestWall for Your Wedding Guests' Photos & Messages

I don't know about you, but my iPhone is pretty much glued to my hand. I'm always tweeting, taking pictures, Instagram-ing and Facebook-ing. And never more than at a wedding! All those fantastic shots of all my friends in their wedding finery, and the pretty details - you can imagine as a wedding blogger, I'm all over those! But after your big day, all those amazing pictures gradually disappear into social media feeds, never to see the light of day again. Well, that's unless you sign up to the brilliant new service called My GuestWall.

This genius company has come up with a brilliant, easy-to-use idea, and it's taking the wedding world by storm. All you do is tell your guests you're using My GuestWall,{they'll give you special personalised cards}, and give them your special @myguestwall.com email address, and Twitter or Instagram hashtag. Introducing Written With Light Wedding Photography

Three years ago, when I was choosing my own wedding photographer, I thought it would be a business transaction. My concerns were cost and quality, and it never really occurred to me that I needed to really like my wedding photographer. I mean obviously I had to respect them professionally, and find them easy to get on with, but I never expected to actually like them as a potential friend. Now I see that this is ESSENTIAL, and it's why I'm delighted to introduce Hannah Vine from Written With Light Photography. Hannah's a self-declared hopeless romantic, who makes a special effort to find out the story behind each couple, so she can reflect their personalities through her pictures. Hannah understands the need to build a personal relationship, feels real warmth towards her clients, and it shows in her lovely wedding photographs. Written With Light Photography has a super-clear, flexible pricing structure to fit every budget. Hannah charges £50 an hour, so a twelve hour wedding would cost £600. Couples can buy the copyright of their images {in a prettily packaged disco} for £100, and beautifully created wedding albums for an extra cost. A pre-wedding engagement shoot {recommended!} only costs £50. Don't miss the Written With Light Photography website and blog.

Introducing Mark Seymour Wedding Photography

There's nothing like a personal recommendation from someone you can trust. I loved my wedding photographer's work, but it was a friend's endorsement that clinched the booking. That's why I'm delighted to introduce Mark Seymour Photography. He's a three times winner of the prestigious MPA Wedding Photographer of the Year, and one of a handful of ambassadors for Nikon UK, but the clincher is his word of mouth reputation. It seems every wedding he photographs, leads to five more, and then five more again, and that's a lot of happy brides! With over 20 years experience, Mark's unique documentary style of wedding photography captures your whole day, without endless staged shots - although Mark's an expert at those as well! His full package starts at £1595, which includes a pre-wedding photo shoot {essential to get you relaxed in front of the lens}, full day coverage, and your pictures in digital form to print as you wish. Friendly and approachable, you'll enjoy Mark's company on your wedding day, when you notice him! Most of the time, he'll be snapping his stunning, natural shots, while you get on with having fun. Mark's based in London, but happy to travel around the UK, and abroad. Enjoy these gorgeous examples of his work, but don't miss his website - Mark Seymour Photography and blog.
