Think fluttering bunting, colourful kaleidoscopes of dahlias, the chinking of champagne glasses and the delicate strains of a string quartet floating in the air. The shops are full of pretty floral accessories for your bridesmaids, gift them a few of these pieces and they'll look 'blooming' amazing!

Pretty Pastel Lavender & Old Lace Millinery Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Celebrate the start of the summer wedding season with this stunning wedding inspiration shoot organised and styled by Fabiola Capo Milliner. I'm in love with the whimsical prettiness - the vintage book props, the feathery softness of the wedding gowns, the wide pastel bouquets, but most of all the divine accessories. Just take a look at the chic cuteness that is the Pink Champagne Pillbox Hat, and the vintage fabulousness of the silk capelet - such a clever take on a veil. Brides keen on a hint of Great Gatsby will adore the Pearl Headdress, and boho brides will fall for the Blushing Bride Halo. Stunning pictures by 13:13 Photography

Pretty Flower Crowns For Your Bridesmaids

If you're a regular reader of Before the Big Day, you'll know that nothing gets me more excited than a good flower crown. That, and bunting. I'm very big on bunting as well! So I hope you won't mind me featuring a selection of particularly pretty pictures of gorgeous headdresses by Rosie of Vintage Posie. The shots were taken by her friend and wedding photographer Kathryn Hopkins, and I'm sure you'll agree they look stunning! I love the wallpaper in the background as well - wouldn't that look great as the backing to your wedding invitations? Lovely wedding inspiration all round!

Je T'Aime - French Flower Crowns For Your Bridesmaids

When I was growing up, my Mum would aways say that I looked 'French', whenever I'd made a particular effort to look good. So for me, 'looking French' has always been the byword for chic and stylish. And that's why it's not surprising to me that Parisian designer, Pauline Dröm, has taken my favourite trend for this summer - flower crowns - and given them a touch of je ne sais quoi. Buy them for your bridesmaids and flower girls, and sport one yourself at all of this summer's BBQ's.

Gorgeous Glittery Wedding Jewellery

Once you've found your wedding gown, you're going to want to accessorise to the max, and I've fallen for this gorgeous wedding jewellery. Discovered on one of my rambles around Etsy, it's just the right combination knock-out and chic, without being too glitzy. The shop is called Luxe Deluxe and it's a one woman show, run by Adrienne in Edinburgh. Lovely, large ivory/white swarovski pearls are stacked with rhinestones and tiny Swarovski crystals, and swing below sparkling rhinestone set sterling silver studs. It looks like you're wearing the real thing, but the price-tag tells the truth!

Wedding Accessory High Street Finds

The first port of call for brides on a budget should always be the High Street. There's a great British tradition of providing stylish fashion at budget prices - something other countries are desperate to imitate. Whether you actually stomp the streets is an entirely different question, as every website worth its salt now has a fantastic online option. This season, I'm particularly impressed by the selection of earrings at Anthropologie. They're perfect for your 'something blue', or as bridesmaids gifts. Also, don't miss Jenny Packham's diffusion line, I've fallen for her fluffy feather stole and White Swan-style headband.

{Product Credits} 1. Precious Cluster Earrings {£98},  2. Cynosure Mobile Earrings {£28} 3. Concert Hall Drops {£28} all Anthropologie

{Product Credits} 1. Ivory Feather Stole {£100}, 2. Ivory Jewelled Headband {£48} 3. Grey Halo Feather Headband {£35} all No.1 Jenny Packham for Debenhams

Winter Brides Accessories Guide

One of my favourite online wedding shops, BHLDN has launched their pretty winter range, and it's perfect for a winter or spring bride. Just take a look at the cute feathery shrugs, furry cuffs and elegant leather gloves. But would you wear ear-muffs or a bobble hat on your wedding day? It's certainly one way to be a bride that stands out from the crowd!

Winter Brides - How To Keep Warm & Stylish

These soft blush fur shrugs are the perfect accessory for a winter or spring bride. Created by British company Hope & Grace, they're cute and cosy, and reminiscent of Anna Karenina. I watched the film last week, and I've fallen in love with the styling. With The Great Gasby starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan due out in the spring, 2013 weddings are bound to be heavily influenced by old-school glamour. Get ahead of the curve and wear one at your winter wedding, or if you're feeling particularly generous, buy one for each of your bridesmaids. They're available in a range of colours from simple ivory, to stylish antique pink and soft grey. P.S. Hope & Grace also make beautiful bridal hair accessories.

Will You Wear Glasses On Your Wedding Day?

My first pair of glasses were proper NHS-style specs - the type that strangely, are now in fashion! They definitely weren't cool then, and it's left me with a long-standing hatred of being seen in glasses. I own a pair, but my husband didn't even see me in them until we'd been doing out a year, and I'd probably rather go out in a bikini in winter, than without my Acuvue lenses. So there was never any chance of me wearing glasses at my wedding, but there's definitely a growing trend towards brides and grooms walking down the aisle, all spec'd up. What are your thoughts? More wedding picture inspiration on my Pinterest board.

Bolero Bliss

Goosebumps are not a good look on a blushing bride. Believe me, you don't want to be freezing cold on your wedding day, and as we can't rely on the British weather, it's worth planning ahead. One way to stay warm and fashionable is to pick a bolero. They're totally on trend for spring and summer, and a gorgeous way to add a bit of romantic appeal to your outfit. Why not try these ruffled lovelies from Bonzie, an amazing independent fashion label from Ireland. Each piece is handmade by aunt and niece design duo, Bonzie and Ger, and I simply love their artful blend of neo-victorian chic! Check out their shop, and quote Before the Big Day to get a 10% discount.
