Fierce Tropical Wedding Shoot

Hot off the press, this incredible high fashion wedding shoot brought together a fab group of wedding suppliers in Chelmsford. Inspired by Writtle College's tropical greenhouse, Grace of Photography by Grace Hill, Kelly of Miss Fleur Floral Design, and dress designer Lucy Can't Dance chose a rainforest theme. The look is totally original and seriously fierce - a great choice for bold brides looking for a distinctive style. I love Lucy's dip-dye Ziggy Stardust gown, and the intricate bodice on her Heart of Glass wedding dress. Purple lipstick and orange eyeshadow complete the boho rock chick look. And take a look at those blooms - even the shyest of brides could kick-start her look with a bright bouquet of luscious tropical orchids and palm leaves. Enjoy the pictures - they're packed with wedding inspiration - and don't miss the details of all the suppliers at the end.

Stunning Seaside Wedding Shoot

This incredible shoot is fresh from an amazingly talented team over on the west coast of the US, where all the best wedding trends seem to start. With a divine wedding dress by Samuelle Couture and smart nautical stationery by Feast Art and Calligraphy, plus styling by Joy Proctor of Joy de Vivre, I'd be tempted to copy every detail for my wedding! I love the combination of white calligraphy on dark blue, the vintage stamps, and the rustic hessian table cloth. I predict coloured glasses will soon become a huge trend in wedding tablescapes, and I'm pleased to see giant bouquets are still on trend. Another fun idea is a mix-your-own-cocktail trolley - as previewed by my wedding planner Kerry Bracken in her Provence wedding. Photography by the incredible Jose Villa - check out his blog for more fabulous wedding inspiration.

Pretty Pastel Lavender & Old Lace Millinery Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Celebrate the start of the summer wedding season with this stunning wedding inspiration shoot organised and styled by Fabiola Capo Milliner. I'm in love with the whimsical prettiness - the vintage book props, the feathery softness of the wedding gowns, the wide pastel bouquets, but most of all the divine accessories. Just take a look at the chic cuteness that is the Pink Champagne Pillbox Hat, and the vintage fabulousness of the silk capelet - such a clever take on a veil. Brides keen on a hint of Great Gatsby will adore the Pearl Headdress, and boho brides will fall for the Blushing Bride Halo. Stunning pictures by 13:13 Photography

A Fun-Loving Luxury Castle Wedding Shoot

So sorry for not blogging yesterday - it was my husband's birthday, and the day ran away with me! But to make up for it, I've got a brilliant fun-loving wedding shoot by a group of super-creative wedding professionals in Ireland. Shot in the idyllic Clontarf Castle, it's full of 2014 wedding trends, and super-luxe wedding details. I love the glittery ombre cake, sequinned cupcake toppers {the sequin trend is HUGE this year} and succulent bouquet. The 'bride' looks gorgeous in her three Sarah Foy wedding gowns {my favourite is the first off-the-shoulder look}, with Bridget Bardott-inspired hair styles. If you can't decide whether you want an up, or down-do for your wedding day, why not have both? Ask your hair stylist to create a pretty chignon for the ceremony, and to tell your bridesmaids which clips to remove for a more relaxed reception look. Stunning pictures by Paul Kelly - don't miss the other credits at the bottom of the feature!

Decadent Festival Wedding Shoot

Regular readers of this blog will know there's nothing I like more than a good wedding theme! Particularly when it's teamed with tonnes of wedding ideas, and some truly fabulous photography. Take a look at this genius wedding shoot inspired by the mighty Glastonbury Festival {my favourite weekend away!}. The brainchild of Lesley from The Vintage Hire Company, and Jo from The Gloucestershire Wedding Company, the shoot was the perfect opportunity for local wedding vendors to showcase their talents. A mix of rustic and edgy, the atmosphere is 'anything goes', and I love the mix of colours. Ideas to steal include the bell tents for lounging, the giant balloon wedding decorations, the 'Access all Areas' wedding stationery, and camper van photo prop. And for sheer originality - arranging the wedding flowers in old boots!!  Huge thanks to Christy of Christy Blanch Photography for sending this shoot through to me - all the details of the other vendors below!

An Enchanting Vintage Fairy-Tale Wedding Shoot

Take a dreamy summer's day, a gaggle of pretty bridesmaids and a stunning wedding venue, and you're talking some serious wedding-shoot excellence. I've fallen for the fairy-tale orangery at St Clere as the perfect location for your vintage-style wedding reception. There's something about the beautiful garden setting that invokes a dreamy fairy-tale theme, and I love the styling of this Snow White-style wedding shoot. Inspirational ideas to steal include the lace-themed wedding stationery and favour cards, the gauze-wrapped bridesmaids' balloons and the silver-burnished wedding cake. Other loves include the mix of mercury glass and clear crystal vases, and the pretty pastel bouquet by Florist in the Forest. Huge thanks to Jennifer Sue Weddings for her expert styling, and Kay Young Photography for her beautiful pictures. P.S. The private estate and house of St Clere are being offered for weddings in 2014 for the month of July only.

Vintage Tea-Party Wedding Shoot

One wedding trend that's refusing to go out of fashion is the vintage tea-party. If you combine cake and pretty, your guests are always going to be happy, and the icing on the cake {sorry!} is that tea-parties are much more budget-friendly than a sit-down dinner. Order sandwiches from Marks & Spencer, ask your bridesmaids to get baking, buy your teabags in bulk, and you're well on the way to wedding success. For sheer prettiness, you can't do better than vintage china - collect your own from car boot sales and charity shops, or try a supplier like A Cup of Vintage - who'll also cater your wedding tea-party if you want! For more wedding inspiration, take a look at this gorgeous shoot by Eddie Judd with Jay Archer Floral Design and A Cup of Vintage at Fetcham Park. I love how they've used the vintage cups as vases for single rose blooms - place setting and pretty in one! Don't miss the pictures from my own tea-party wedding.

A Marie Antoinette Inspired Balloon Wedding Shoot - Part 2

The balloon shots from this wedding shoot were so fabulous, they deserve a blog post of their own! Shot and styled by the fantastic team at Synergy Styling and Photography, on location at the The Deer Park Country House Hotel, these pictures are the perfect inspiration for your wedding portrait photographs. It's often difficult to relax in front of the camera on your wedding day, and fun photo props can help bring out the real you, having a good time! You could easily ask friends to organise this simple and budget-friendly idea at your own wedding venue, choosing a balloon colour that fits in with your wedding theme. A Marie Antoinette Inspired Tea-Party Wedding Shoot

Take one beautiful venue, add a Marie Antoinette theme and a rather delicious tea-party, and you've got one seriously fabulous wedding shoot. You can't fail to feel inspired by these fun images, styled and shot by Synergy Styling and Photography. I've fallen for the bride's Marie Antoinette hair-style, her flirty pink parsol and divine Charlotte Balbier gown. Even the groom looks handsome enough to eat - in dapper black tie. Menswear in the UK tends to favour morning suits, but I'm a huge fan of the US fashion for men to wear black tie at evening weddings - definitely an export worth considering for your own big day. With bunting, a cake stand, vintage china and tea-party themed wedding favours, this is one wedding theme you could easily imitate without breaking the bank. Hire vintage china, or start collecting from car-boot sales and charity shops now! Huge thanks to Venetia Norrington, from Firetopp Photography for her beautiful pictures.

Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding Theme

Take a dose of literature, a dollop of romance, add a sprinkle of fairydust, and you've got one of my favourite wedding themes - A Midsummer Night's Dream. A fairy theme would work well for any rural, forest or countryside wedding, just imagine luxurious flower displays, bridesmaids dressed in flowing chiffon, and pageboys wearing Puck-ish flower crowns. Shakespeare's poetry is perfect for wedding ceremony readings, and masks make for brilliant wedding favours. Fill your wedding stationery envelopes with glittery confetti, and ask for garden-themed wedding gifts. For more ideas, take a look at this incredible Midsummer Night's Dream themed wedding shoot, styled by Tricia Fountaine and pictured by Elizabeth Messina.

Rustic Deer Park Wedding Shoot

Searching for real weddings on wedding blogs are a fantastic way to find wedding inspiration, but often it's the wedding shoots that come up with the truly original ideas. It's something about the alchemy of putting several wedding specialists in one room! I've fallen hard for his gorgeous rustic wedding shoot, themed around the wedding venue, The Deer Park Hotel in Honiton, Devon. Just take a look at the adorable deer theme, reflected in the laser-cut wedding stationery, cute favour biscuits and silhouette cake topper. I love the use of bullrushes in the table flowers, and the groom's tweed three-piece suit. Great inspiration for photo props for your wedding pictures - why not try fishing and archery on for size! Stunning shots published with thanks to Firetop Photography. More credits to the fantastic wedding experts who put this together below the pics!
