Real Barndance Succulent Wedding: Melissa & Brett

This wedding is an inspiration-fest!  Gorgeous couple Melissa and Brett DIY'd many of the features - my favourite has to be the vintage bud vases - so chic, and super-cheap.  Huge love has to go to the traditional photo booth and how about those feather buttonholes - just stunning.  Right, I'm off to plan a barn-dance!  Massive thanks, as ever, to amazing photographer Jessamyn Harris for letting me publish her pics.

My Wedding - DIY Wedding Stationery

A sure-fire to way to make certain that your wedding stationery is truly personal to your big day is to create DIY wedding invitations. I couldn't afford the wedding stationery package that I wanted, so I designed it all, and had the invitations and RSVP cards printed at my local printers. {See the pictures below by Caught the Light}. But what if you're a bride & groom without any artistic aptitude!? Well the good news is that you can still get on the crafting train, because tonnes of companies now design card packages that you can easily DIY at home. From print-at-home designs, to the perfect paper, and cute embellishments like seals and ribbons, you'll find that inner creative before you know it! Real Rustic Wedding: Nicki & Roni

Have you chosen a signature colour for your wedding yet? If you're looking for inspiration on how to use colour at your wedding, then look not further than this sturnning rustic-style affair. Nicki and Roni picked bold purple as their colour, and used it in just a couple of key details; the carnations on the tables, and Nicki's bridesmaids' dresses. But the real secret lies in how IN-frequently they used the carnations - only occasionally as punctuation. Super effective, no? Other stealworthy wedding ideas include Nicki's wildflower-style bouquet, her sweet wavy hairstyle, and the vintage crates and milk bottles on the tables. I'm also loving the airmail place-markers and personalised flags on the straws. Huge thanks to the team at Our Labour of Love for capturing all the details in such style!

Real Homespun DIY Wedding: Sam & Wade

This wedding is packed to the brim with DIY ideas and shabby-chic inspiration. Gorgeous bride, Sam, is a style pro, so she was bound to put together a truly exceptional wedding, and this one is a wonderful combination of eclectic styles. I'm loving Wade's gingham shirt and red bow-tie look, and Sam's bridesmaids' individual plaited hairstyles. The guests all sat on fabric-covered straw bales for the ceremony, which took place under a tree, chalked with the bride and groom’s initials. Other fabulous wedding details include the flower girl holding a balloon and a butterfly jar instead of a usual basket, the photo-rosette boutonnieres, and the hanging bottle vases. Also the vintage quilt-style tablecloth and the typewriter guest book. Plus {yes there's more!}, Sam's sparkly pink Christian LouboutinsBadgley Mishka ruffled wedding dress and Wade's cool moustached socks. Wow! Literally every wedding detail was personalised. Fantastic pictures published with thanks to the ladies at Simply Bloom Photography.

From Soft to Sculptural Wedding Dresses

In my quiet moments, while other people might watch TV, I like to look at wedding gowns (mock me if you like, it won't stop me!). And there's no one better at making dresses than Amanda Wakely. She does creates several collections each year, and I just adore these wedding gowns from her 'Morocco Collection'. From soft to scuptural, there's no shape she can't do. Which one's your favourite?
