Real Vintage Rustic Yurt Wedding Shoot

It's time for a wedding treat! Feast your eyes on the pretty wedding details in this gorgeous shoot by Christy Blanch Photography, showcasing talented wedding suppliers in Gloucestershire. The vintage theme fits in perfectly with all the rustic garden details, including the eccentric grandfather clock and cute powder-blue potting shed. With pretty mismatched vintage crockery and accessories by The Vintage Hire, and stunning wild-flower bouquets, it's a DIY bride's dream wedding. If you're planning your own backgarden wedding, gather your wedding flowers from the countryside on the morning of your big day, and collect old watering cans and bottles for rustic vessels. Add rosemary for a sweet scent, and serve Pimm's, cucumber sandwiches and cupcakes for a quintessential English wedding. More fabulous pictures from this wedding shoot coming in Part 2, including a yurt marquee - oh yes! Huge thanks once again to Christy Blanch Photography for these lovely pictures!

The New Wedding Trend - Naked Wedding Cakes

Have you considered getting naked for your wedding day? Getting a naked wedding cake, that is? It's the US wedding trend this summer season, {Hilary Duff even had one at her wedding}, and it looks set to spread across the Atlantic for British brides' autumn and winter weddings. I'm really loving the non-icing look - it's charming and whimsical, and perfect for DIY brides looking to bake their own wedding cake. For decoration, just add flowers, fruit, dripped icing, or succulents, plus anything else that might fit in with your wedding theme. For a glamorous twist on the naked cake look, why not try a French croquembouche wedding cake. We had one at our wedding, and it went down a storm! For more wedding cake inspiration, do check out my Pinterest page.

Introducing PreOwned Wedding Dresses

Wedding dresses are way too expensive, and {mildly controversially} I reckon wedding dress designers take advantage of brides by overcharging. Nervous brides want to look their very best on their wedding day, they're often nervous about being the centre of attention, and they're willing to spend crazy-money to make sure they feel super-special. There's no escaping the prettiest wedding gowns tend to be the most expensive. But now there's a way you can get the wedding dress you want, without breaking the bank, and it's all thanks to PreOwned Wedding Dresses. This AMAZING website is the modern bride's way to buy a wedding dress. With over 10,000 new sample, and used wedding gowns, The One is out there waiting for you, with a bargain price tag. PreOwned Wedding Dresses list gowns from all your favourite designers, {think Monique Lhuillier, Jenny Packham, Vera Wang & more} plus stunning pre-owned wedding accessories as well. Here's just a few of my favourite wedding gowns on sale now, but check out the website for your favourite designer.

Big Bouquet OR Single Bloom - A New Wedding Trend

As a wedding blogger, it's my job to track the latest wedding fashions and fads, and in the last few months I've spotted something of a mini-trend in bridal bouquets. It seems that in these financially-stretched times, brides are opting for minimalist single blooms, rather than traditional bunches of flowers. I find this works best with large blooms like dahlias, open peonies and chrysanthemums. Or you could DIY your own giant paper flower via this tutorial by The House That Lars Built {an amazing DIY wedding blog}. Which do you prefer? Big bridal bouquet, or single bloom?

Your Perfect {Subtle} Something Blue

It's amazing how out of all the wedding traditions, the 'something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue', has survived into the 21st century. Even the most untraditional of brides tend to sneak something from each category into their wedding outfit. If you're still looking for ideas for your Something Blue, I completely adore the simplicity and charm of this embroidered wedding dress label by Etsy seller Sunshine and Vodka. It comes fastened to a hand-stamped wedding card, so would work perfectly as a wedding day present for a bride {future bridesmaids take note!} or groom {sew it into his jacket or onto his tie as a surprise}. Each one is completely unique and made to order, and DIY-designer Paulette can add initials or a special blessing on request. For more ideas for your Something Blue, don't miss my Pinterest board!

Real Pastel Vineyard Wedding: Ronnie & Richard

Any bride planning a pastel-pink themed wedding, with shabby-chic wedding details is going to fall head-over-heels in love with this gorgeous vineyard wedding. Ronnie and Richard paid exquisite attention to every wedding element - right down to the bridesmaids' fabulous spotted finger-nails - love! Ronnie looks beautifully elegant with her quirky blossomed birdcage veil, her traditional pearl necklace, and gorgeous flowing wedding gown. After the wedding ceremony Ronnie swapped her veil, for a stunning 1920's-style peony headband - two wedding looks for the price of one! Other wedding details to steal for your own big day include bubbles instead of confetti, the cute muslin favour bags {buy similar from Etsy}, the pastel macaron favours and the gorgeous bicycle and balloon table stationery. With a vineyard venue, and the amazing Our Labour of Love taking the wedding pictures, this is close to wedding perfection!

Heart Handmade UK Peaches & Cream DIY Wedding Inspiration

{Posting by Claire Donovan, Before the Big Day's DIY Wedding Expert} Well this post is a little mash up of loveliness! Peaches, cream and hessian {burlap} is the theme and this is my DIY wedding reception table look. The DIY idea here is for adding calligraphy onto paper doilies and using clear plates, because it is very cute. ^_^ All of these photos are a peek into my mood board notebook as I knew I was creating this project in collaboration with Before the Big Day Blog. The recipe for the peach cheesecake is from Moje Wypieki and big thank you to my friend Marta and her culinary skills.

The blackboard peg tutorial is very very simple and will be shared with you soon as I try out a few different variations. This is just a peek into my ideas notebook where I store snippets of lace, fabrics, tapes and inspiring images.

Ive been slightly obsessed with the peaches and cream colour scheme for quite some time now and Im always inspired by Leslie of A Creative Mint and her beautiful colourful 'Color Me Pretty' column through Decor8 Blog, so when Georgia from Before the Big Day Blog contacted me about a collaboration I jumped at the chance to work on DIY projects, as I love the creative mood board and planning process!

I had so much fun collecting and raiding through my supplies to work on what I would be creating and how I would style the table. I was bursting to use the peach sequins and ecru hand crochet doily ^_^

My collection of loveliness. I've left all the ribbons on the key because they look so pretty! It's the key for the cupboard that hides our electricity fuse thing {I'm so good with technical terms!}

The peaches and cream crepe paper was just the perfect set of colours and the thing that set me off completely with this colour scheme is my lovely vase of flowers there from Bloom UK.

I Also fell in love with these peach stripy straws from Pipii. The calligraphy names written on a doily idea was originally seen on Martha Stewart {where else?!}
