Introducing The Scented Candle Shop For Weddings

Out of all the weddings I've attended, there's one that really stands out in my mind. It was pretty spectacular, with stunning flowers, the best desert table I've ever seen, and a series of 'reveals', including one late in the evening, when a curtain dropped to reveal another marquee set up as a nightclub. But the element that really stands out is the smell of the wedding! Each 'room' was subtly perfumed with scented candles, and I can't tell you how much it added to the atmosphere and feeling of luxury. If you're looking to create the same effect, I hugely recommend the Scented Candle Shop. They have a huge range of candles - from scented, to organic, soy and vintage-style beeswax. Choose from natural scents, such as fig tree, lavender, rosemary, and citronella for a garden reception. If you're looking to create a colour splash on each table, you can choose your candles and holders by colour. The Scented Candle Shop also has a special wedding range, with a great selection of simple taper and pillar candles, plus great wedding favour options - take a look at these cute cottage style candles!

Wedding Shoe Heart Stoppers

If you're anything like me, you'll be wanting to make sure every wedding detail is perfect! At least, that's how I felt in the early days of my planning - once things got a bit closer, and a bit more rushed, I started to become a lot more laissez faire! But with months and months to go, you can worry about the little things, and these anti-slip shoe hearts definitely fall into that category. But aren't they adorable?? They easily peel off and stick to the sole of your shoe, stopping any embarrassing falls, and adding a flash of cute to your every step. Pick them up for under £10 from Mon Amour Boutique, plus a few sets for your bridesmaids. P.S. Mon Amour Boutique also have adorable I Do and Me Too matching sticker sets for you and your husband. If you kneel in church, they'll make all your guests smile.

Autumn & Winter Wedding Ring Bearer Pillow

There's a moment at every UK wedding when everyone turns their attention to the best man - it's his big moment, time to hand over the wedding rings. At US weddings they do things differently - usually the rings are carried on a pillow by a pageboy or flower girl. I'm super-keen on the American tradition, particularly because it's another opportunity for you to personalise your big day with pretty wedding details! For example, take a look at this rustic pine cone ring pillow by Etsy-seller Rustic Blend. It's the perfect accessory for an autumn or winter wedding, and I love its handmade charm. For more ring pillow ideas, take a look at my Pinterest board.

Why Eco-Chic Brides Love Burlap

Just because it's slightly rough and ready, doesn't make burlap any less chic. In fact, it's its naive rusticity that makes it this season's fabric of choice for eco-chic weddings. Made from vegetable fibres, it's often used to make sacks to transport coffee beans, and it's these bags that are super-easy to recyle into gorgeous accessories and favours. Perfect for a couple keen to be green on their big day.

How To Say Thank You For Your Wedding

In all the madness of all your frantic wedding preparations, it's hard to think of the days afterwards, when you'll be relaxing on your honeymoon. But the one thing you can be sure of, is that there'll be tonnes of people you'll want to thank. Your suppliers, your parents and all your friends and family who gave you wedding presents. A great way to truly personalise your wedding thank you cards, is to ask your wedding photographer to take a picture of you on your wedding day with a Thank You Banner. Try these pretties from Etsy Wedding on for size...my favourite is the burlap bunting, how about you?

Blush Pink Themed Wedding Ideas

If you're feeling inspired by the romantic blush wedding shoot I posted yesterday, add these stunning BHLDN accessories and wedding decorations to your big day. I'm loving the Provencal-style fabric lavender bags, the pretty fans, pink bunting, and Love is Sweet banner. Gorgeous Vintage Wedding Silver

Vintage and romantic, this gorgeous silver-plated cutlery will make that first mouthful of wedding cake taste all the sweeter. Hand-engraved by another of my favourite wedding Etsy crafters, these mismatched pieces are given a new lease of life as charming future heirlooms. Team them with hammered spoon table signs or cake toppers, and start your married life as eco-friendly upcyclers. Buy them from the Beach House Living boutique and surprise your fiancé as you sit down to your first meal as husband and wife.

Unique Etsy Weddings: Peach Blossom UK

Every day this week I'm going to introduce one of my favourite UK Etsy sellers. If you haven't discovered Etsy yet, you are M-I-S-S-I-N-G out. It's an amazing website, filled to the brim with creative people selling their handmade crafts or vintage finds. I've been known to spend entire days lost on Etsy in a world of imagination. Most importantly, it's the best place to find original and unique items for your wedding day, and pick up some fabulous wedding ideas along the way. Today's seller is Peach Blossom UK. This colourful online boutique offers stylish and pretty party products and decorations to make your wedding sparkle. Here are a few of my favourite products, but do check out their site for more wedding inspiration!

Heart Handmade UK Peaches & Cream DIY Wedding Inspiration

{Posting by Claire Donovan, Before the Big Day's DIY Wedding Expert} Well this post is a little mash up of loveliness! Peaches, cream and hessian {burlap} is the theme and this is my DIY wedding reception table look. The DIY idea here is for adding calligraphy onto paper doilies and using clear plates, because it is very cute. ^_^ All of these photos are a peek into my mood board notebook as I knew I was creating this project in collaboration with Before the Big Day Blog. The recipe for the peach cheesecake is from Moje Wypieki and big thank you to my friend Marta and her culinary skills.

The blackboard peg tutorial is very very simple and will be shared with you soon as I try out a few different variations. This is just a peek into my ideas notebook where I store snippets of lace, fabrics, tapes and inspiring images.

Ive been slightly obsessed with the peaches and cream colour scheme for quite some time now and Im always inspired by Leslie of A Creative Mint and her beautiful colourful 'Color Me Pretty' column through Decor8 Blog, so when Georgia from Before the Big Day Blog contacted me about a collaboration I jumped at the chance to work on DIY projects, as I love the creative mood board and planning process!

I had so much fun collecting and raiding through my supplies to work on what I would be creating and how I would style the table. I was bursting to use the peach sequins and ecru hand crochet doily ^_^

My collection of loveliness. I've left all the ribbons on the key because they look so pretty! It's the key for the cupboard that hides our electricity fuse thing {I'm so good with technical terms!}

The peaches and cream crepe paper was just the perfect set of colours and the thing that set me off completely with this colour scheme is my lovely vase of flowers there from Bloom UK.

I Also fell in love with these peach stripy straws from Pipii. The calligraphy names written on a doily idea was originally seen on Martha Stewart {where else?!}

Introducing Foto Noir - Luxury Wedding Photo Booth

When it comes to your wedding, the one thing I can guarantee, is that it will pass far too quickly. Our wedding lasted nearly 10 hours, but it still feels like it was over in a flash - everything sped up once we'd shared a couple of glasses of champagne! You're going to want as much photographic evidence of your wedding as possible, and while your wedding photographer will take all the lovely official shots, in my view a wedding photobooth is a must. Foto Noir is a luxury photobooth, which takes flattering {and hilarious}, black and white portrait pictures. Its subtle design fits in with every wedding style, even {as in the picture below} if your wedding is at The Savoy! Install it at your wedding reception and your friends and family will love it - we only had an old polaroid camera at our wedding, so I wish we'd discovered Foto Noir before our big day. The pictures are printed at the reception, so they work as brilliant wedding favours, as well as fabulous momentoes of your wedding day. Based in London, Foto Noir are happy to install their photobooth anywhere in the UK - book them now for your wedding day!

How To Make Your Wedding Guests Look Cool

The moment I spotted these incredible wedding photo props, I felt the rush of wedding blog excitement. I had to share them with you! They would make for the most hilarious pictures, and even your shyest guest couldn't fail to get involved. Create a fancy dress prop box next to the photo booth at your wedding {my favourite is Foto Noir}, or place a different one at each table setting as a wedding favour. You could even have themed tables - distinguished moustaches on one, wacky glasses on the other. Buy these from Live Love Laugh Lots. P.S. I know I went a bit overboard with the pictures here, but I couldn't choose which one - they all made me happy! There's even more sets on the website!

Here Comes the Bride Wedding Signs

One of the wedding details I left till last was my Here Comes The Bride sign. I'd spotted them on Etsy, and I figured I could easily DIY one myself, but I left it a bit late. If you look at the second set of pictures, you can see my nephew holding my DIY sign, prettily stuck together with black tape! The idea for my wedding was that he'd walk down the aisle ahead of me holding the flag, but he fell asleep before the ceremony and failed at his task. So when you pick your pageboys, make sure they're older than two, and have a good snooze before the wedding ceremony! If you're not so keen on designing your own flag, my favourites are from The Ritzy Rose and Larkspur & Linen. Along with Here Comes The Bride you could also have practical instructions like Cake Cutting or First Dance or even Please Take Your Seats. What would you choose? I'd love Happily Ever After.

Exotic Morocco-Themed Wedding Inspiration Shoot

This incredible wedding shoot has got me wishing we'd planned our wedding in Morocco. With tonnes of gorgeous exotic details, you'd think this was a wedding planned in the desert, but in fact, the team of wedding vendors are based right here in the UK. It just goes to show you can create any wedding theme you like, all you need is a blank canvas, and tonnes of imagination. I'm loving all the bright wedding details from this shoot, including the pretty paper lanterns from Papaver Designs, the bright Moroccan-style cushions, the delicate lanterns and incredible gold wedding cake.
