Real Hawaiian Destination Wedding: Allison & Scott

As we all prepare for our summer holidays, it seems only right to feature a destination wedding, and it doesn't get more destination than Hawaii. Allison and Scott chose the Hotel Hana Maui for their big day, and celebrated their vows in its gorgeous manicured grounds. I've completely fallen for these light-hearted photographs by Punam Bean - I'm particularly loving the one where the horse eats Allison's bouquet, and the fun coconut shots. Allison kept her wedding style simple and elegant, she chose not to wear a veil, and walked down the aisle with just an exotic flower in her hair. Her gorgeous wedding gown had a lace-overlay and slight train, and she carried a stunning bouquet of white roses. The wedding favours were straw fans, and white parasols were handed out the guests to protect them in the heat - love this idea! Don't miss the pics of the reception, Allison and Scott decorated the wedding venue with white paper lanterns - a cheap and chic way to add interest - definitely a fab wedding idea to copy.

Lovely Secret Garden Vintage Key Themed Stationery

When it comes to wedding themes, it's often difficult to choose your favourite. I know that I found it super-hard to pick between an Alice in Wonderland wedding theme, and a Secret Garden wedding theme. In the end my wedding venue, with its walled garden and secret chapel made the decision for me, and we used a vintage key motif throughout our wedding stationery and favours. We designed our own stationery, but I wish I've found these gorgeous wedding invitations by The Paper Sentiment. I'm loving the texture of the paper, and the combination of fonts, plus the grey, pink and gold colour palette. Do take a look at graphic designer, Carrie Beach's other wedding stationery sets - they're all as gorgeous as each other!

Amazing Sparkly Tassel & Tissue Wedding Decorations

For some some time I've been looking for a wedding decoration that could be the next DIY pom pom. They need to be versatile, cheap, chic, fun and easy to DIY. It's a tall order, but I think I might have just found them, in these gorgeous tassel banners. Created out of tissue paper and glittery mylar {shiny paper}, they'd fit in with every wedding colour scheme, gussying up every boring wall. Layer them up to create an altar area or to decorate the cake table, or create super-long garlands of them to streak across the ceiling. Buy these gorgeous combinations from The Flair Exchange or check out the DIY tassel tutorial on a pair and a spare blog. P.S. You can also make these out of material, as in this blog post by Delightfully Tacky.

There were more tears this morning over here at Before the Big Day HQ, as I continued in my wedding video splurge. This gorgeous trailer for Laura and Will's stunning autumn wedding is by fab wedding videographer Deneemotion, and it's full of stealworthy wedding details. I'm loving the Englishness of the whole affair, from the Laura's elegant strapless gown, the croquet on the lawn, the falling apples and beautiful marquee reception. Other great wedding ideas include the unusual patterned bridesmaids' dresses, pretty pink rose and hydrangea table flowers, and the amazing confetti shower cake cutting. Every wedding needs more confetti!

Real DIY Farm Wedding: Lauren & Zack

Yeehaw! Go cowgirl! This wedding is full of rural American details, from the bridesmaids' cowboy boots, to the pickup truck transport and the rustic wooden celebration signs. Talk about original style! Lauren and Zack's big day was a DIY affair from start to finish, with family members helping out with every aspect. I love the homespun vintage look they achieved - to copy their style use herbs in your table displays, fill old jam jars with chunky candles and leave your cake un-iced. Gorgeous photos as ever from the lovely team at Our Labour of Love.

Real Spring Snowdrop Wedding Video: Stephanie & Gary

One of my biggest regrets from my wedding day is that we didn't choose a wedding videographer. Our budget was super-tight, and it was one of those things that slipped under our radar. I always thought wedding videos were long interminable things that no one ever actually watched after their wedding day. But that's all changed now, as wedding videographers have become more professional and downright fabulous. I'm particularly keen on the 'trailer-style' wedding shorts that videographers produce. These three minute wonders squish all the fabulousness of your wedding into a short and sweet video that you can forward to your friends and family by email, as a reminder of your big day. I'm loving the emotions caught this wedding video by Your Perfect Day, it made me well up to watch Stephanie and Gary say their vows - they look so happy! Get involved with the glimpses of all their wedding details - there's tonnes of stealworthy ideas - from Stephanie's gorgeous lacy wedding dress and Faith shoes, to the dessert buffet, menus, caricaturist, hyacinth ceremony flowers, luggage tag placemarkers and the fab succulents in Stephanie's bouquet and the ushers' buttonholes. Whew - now that's a whole lot of wedding inspiration in only three minutes!

Love, love, love these incredible upcycled bridesmaid dresses from Armour sans Anguish. Each gown is handmade entirely from recycled and reclaimed materials, which just adds to their vintage personality. I'm loving the pink colour palette, but you can choose your shade according to your wedding theme. One warning, if you like them, order sooner rather than later, there's a 5 month waiting list!
