Real Teal & Purple Desert Wedding: Amanda & Derrick

Most brides seem to choose pink, grey or sage green as their wedding theme colours, and I was no different. But how about picking are more unusual colour palette? Amanda and Derrick chose teal and purple for their wedding accent colours, and their wedding looks beautiful against the Arizona desert landscape. Like many American couples, Amanda and Derrick chose to do a first-look photo shoot ahead of their ceremony, which always makes for the best pictures. There are tonnes of portrait picture ideas here, including the blackboard 'Thank You' shot, which I'm sure they used for their wedding thank you cards! Stealworthy ideas include the succulents in Amanda's stunning bouquet, her bridesmaids' simple strappy sandals {it's kind to give your bridemaids a choice between flats or heels} and the cute monogram baubles hanging off each bouquet. Some brides attach a vintage broach or necklace to their bouquets, or a locket with pictures of their grandparents. It's a lovely way to carry your loved ones with you as you walk up the aisle. Gorgeous pictures published with thanks to Photography By Verdi - more from their reception and wedding ceremony coming later this afternoon.

Real Rustic Autumn Wedding: Lindsey & Hayley

Succulents, lace and pink helium balloons are the recipe for a perfect wedding. Throw in an incredible South African venue and the autumnal turning of the leaves, and I'm in wedding heaven! Lindsey and Hayley celebrated their wedding in the South African countryside, saying their vows surrounded on all four sides by nature. I'm loving Hayley's exquisite feathered dress, fun Vivienne Westwood heart shoes {cheap but oh-so chic}, and the little fur stole to keep her cosy during her vows. Other fabulous wedding details include the pink table stationery {Eat, Drink and Be Married!} and mirrored table displays. I love how they covered succulents with bell vases, and put proteas in birdcages. Each table feels like a feminine dressing table - such a romantic theme for a wedding. If you'd like a similar ceramic ring-bearing bowl, you can buy them from Paloma's Nest, a US designer who's cornered the market on heirlooms of the future. Gorgeous pictures published with thanks to the team at We Love Pictures.

Real South African Vineyard Wedding: Pieter & Marlize

Autumn weddings are always up there with my favourites. There's something about the golden light, and the changing leaves, that makes them effortlessly romantic. Pieter and Marlize chose to celebrate their big day on the beautiful Dornier Wine Estate in Stellenbosch in South Africa, known for its incredible wines and exquisite scenary. I've fallen for Marlize's elegant simple style, her bridesmaids' parasols and simple grey gowns, plus the cute succulent favours {super easy to DIY}. Don't miss the exotic protea flowers, they're the national flower in South Africa, but you can buy them in Britain too. They make for a dramatic look, and you only need a few, so they can work out cheaper than you think. Congratulations to Gareth and Kate from welovepictures (too) for their truly stunning photographs.

Real Barndance Succulent Wedding: Melissa & Brett

This wedding is an inspiration-fest!  Gorgeous couple Melissa and Brett DIY'd many of the features - my favourite has to be the vintage bud vases - so chic, and super-cheap.  Huge love has to go to the traditional photo booth and how about those feather buttonholes - just stunning.  Right, I'm off to plan a barn-dance!  Massive thanks, as ever, to amazing photographer Jessamyn Harris for letting me publish her pics.
