Destination Mexican Wedding Featuring a Donkey & Tequilla

The perfect wedding is an alchemy of romance, design and organisation, plus a supercalifragilistic-expialidocious photographer. In this case Stephanie Williams from This Modern Romance, seriously rocked the wedding photographs, taking pics of every little, exquisite detail. The bride and groom behind this romance are Erica and Abrahm, who celebrated their big day on Valentine's Day in the gorgeous mountain town of San Miguel De Allende in Mexico, at an historic colonial villa called Casa Chorro. The wedding theme of orange and grey, succulents, wood and French linen worked perfectly with the venue, and I've fallen for Erica's lace Monique Lhuillier dress, bespoke-dyed Kate Spade shoes and succulent bouquet. Their wedding coordinator, Guadalupe Alvarez from Penzi Weddings, did an amazing job of coordinating the three days of celebration. Not only did she provide the flowers, decor, and Benito the tequila donkey, but her team built the whole raised reception dance floor on the villa grounds in less than two days! Amazing!

Real Vintage Hollywood Swiss Wedding: Kate & Lucas

For some brides, the frothy feminine style of a traditional wedding leaves them cold. Instead they choose a sophisticated theme for their wedding day, with maybe a short, chic wedding dress, and an urban venue. Gorgeous bride, Kate, plumped for the latter, picking a modern look for her wedding day, with a lovely layer of vintage glamour. Her lace covered wedding dress is the Zarita from Diane von Fuerstenberg, and works perfectly with her birdcage veil and red lipstick. Her sunshine yellow shoes perfectly match her colourful bouquet, creating a very 'put together' look - the type I can only dream of recreating! Lukas and Kate chose the Zurich Courthouse in Switzerland for their wedding venue, and hosted their reception in stylish cafe, with the lovely Andrea Kuehnis on hand to take their wedding pictures. Don't you love their style?

Pastel Bridesmaid Inspiration for Spring

After the weather forecast promised sunshine, only for it to rain, I've decided I'm done with winter, and started looking ahead to spring! First up for my spring-clean are bridesmaids dresses. I love these bright pastel gowns, and wedding accessories from BHLDN. Their bright tones are bang on trend for 2013, and your girls would be sure to wear them again and again. Last year was all about muted shades, but I'm predicting a big colour flush for this year - you heard it here first, look out for the brights!

Real Autumn Forest Wedding: Delphine & Joel

If you're worried about the weather at your wedding, this celebration should put your mind at rest. Despite the mist, in fact thanks to the mist, Delphine and Joel's wedding feels all the more romantic and intimate. They were married in a tiny ceremony, and Delphine's family travelled all the way from France her big day. I love the rustic simplicity of their flowers and Delphine's gorgeous dress, but most of all the love that spills out of the photographs. A fabulous reminder that you don't need details on your big day, ultimately it's just about you and your boy. Big love to Jessamyn Harris for her gorgeous pictures.

Real Colourful Vineyard Wedding: Blake & Ashley

Bold bright colours are much harder to style, but create such memorable weddings, that if you've got the guts then you should go for it. Californian couple Blake and Ashley picked fuschia pink and lemon yellow for their colour scheme, and in the hot bright west-coast light, it all came together beautifully. Their vineyard venue was naturally gorgeous, so they kept their florals to a minimum, with bundles of tulips and a scattering of petals up the aisle. Table displays were cleverly filled with sliced oranges, a fantastic idea to steal for your own big day. I'm also loving how the place markers were wedged into a corks, and the tables named after grapes, all great ways to continue the vineyard theme. Don't miss Ashley's amazing pink shoes - she even spelt out 'I Do' in blue sequins on the soles, as a super-cool 'something blue'. Stunning photos, as ever, from the mega-talented Sarah Yates Photography.

Real Enchanted Garden Wedding: Kelly & Steve

Hold on to your hats! I've got an a-m-a-z-i-n-g wedding for you this rainy Tuesday. Check out Steve and Kelly's big day, hosted in their garden in Los Angeles. Now I know we can't guarantee the weather here, the way they can over on the east coast of the US, but there's so many stealworthy ideas from this wedding, you're going to want to save every single picture in your personal file. Steve and Kelly chose vegetables and berries as well as flowers, to decorate their tables and in the bouquets. I love their little blackboard messages, the sprig of rosemary at each seat, and the twiggy cake. Most of all though, I've fallen for the long communal tables, and the rows of outdoor lights - they look so romantic and starry at night. A big welcome to Sarah Yates who took these gorgeous pictures, she's a seriously talented lady.
