Eight months and 13 days. That's how long I've got until my own wedding day. So it's probably time I started looking for a wedding dress. I have to admit what while I'm excited about the stationery and decor of our big day, the dress-thang doesn't really get me going. I think it's fear of the unknown, and a determination to not spend more than one thousand pounds - I mean, is that even possible?? Plus, I'm yet to find a single dress designer in the UK that presses my buttons. I'm guessing if I feel this way, then there must be other ladies out there with the same conundrum, so I'm going to go in search of the best frocks, for you and for me. My first discovery is Australian designer Rachel Gilbert. She's long been a favourite of mine, and {fab news!} Net-a-Porter

I'm happy to tell you that the dress I fell in love with ended up coming in under my budget so, yes, good things do happen with dress shopping. Definitely try them on, however. I never would have picked my dress if I had just seen it in a magazine. But as soon as I put it on, it made me feel the way I wanted to feel on my wedding day. Start now, however, as mine is taking 8 months just to arrive and then I'll still need alterations! Good luck!

I'm not sure if you will still be looking at this page by now, but I love love love that dress on the upper right and have been on a huge search for it after i saw it on pinterest without a link. Is it possible that you could provide me that link? I would seriously love to have that dress for prom in pastal pink.
