Real Luxury Wedding with a Couture Gown & Grey Accents

So there are weddings, and then there are w-e-d-d-i-n-g-s. You may not have the budget for the latter, but it's definitely worth a quick squiz at the pictures for ideas. After all there's nothing stopping you DIYing your details to keep costs down. Fannie and Leonard have to be the most elegant couple in the world, I totally adore their choices of silvery grey and sagey green {quick note for own wedding}, and Fannie's Monaco Couture gown is dreamy. Other stealworthy ideas include the ushers' matching neon sunglasses, the romantic vintage font on the stationery and the bridesmaids' mismatching bouquets. Just goes to show that if you keep the colour palette simple, you can play with variety on which flowers you use. Last but not least, check out the ice-cream sundae bar with pick-your-own topping....now we're talking! Gorgeous photographs as ever from the hugely talented team over at Stephanie Williams Photography.

DIY Luxury Wedding: Beaded Belts & Accessories

If you're a bride with eyes bigger than your budget, you're going to adore my latest wedding discovery. Take one simple, wallet-friendly wedding dress, and add one of these incredible beaded trims by Allyson James, and BOOM! you've got a luxury-looking wedding gown without the price tag. Allyson James' beaded trims are made out of exactly the same quality trims you see on designer gowns such as Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier, they're hand-sewn with the finest crystals, pearls, beads and sequins. Trims arrive ready to be sewn into sashes, belts, headpieces, bouquet wraps...whatever your DIY dream desires. Time to let your wedding imagination run wild!

Real Luxury Lace-Themed Wedding: Jennifer & Kirt

Exquisite summer wedding alert! I've got a complete humdinger for your delectation. It's another Jose Villa wedding, and they're always exquisitely pictured, and chock-a-block with stealworthy ideas. From the elegant candy-striped stationery, to the vintage car and cute dog pageboy, I'm wanting to copy every detail. Recreate the tablescape with a selection of different-sized vases, scraps of lace wrapped round linen napkins, and a sage green table cloth. Add in some antique silver borrowed from a local shop, and you'll be well on the way to extreme elegance.

A Fun-Loving Luxury Castle Wedding Shoot

So sorry for not blogging yesterday - it was my husband's birthday, and the day ran away with me! But to make up for it, I've got a brilliant fun-loving wedding shoot by a group of super-creative wedding professionals in Ireland. Shot in the idyllic Clontarf Castle, it's full of 2014 wedding trends, and super-luxe wedding details. I love the glittery ombre cake, sequinned cupcake toppers {the sequin trend is HUGE this year} and succulent bouquet. The 'bride' looks gorgeous in her three Sarah Foy wedding gowns {my favourite is the first off-the-shoulder look}, with Bridget Bardott-inspired hair styles. If you can't decide whether you want an up, or down-do for your wedding day, why not have both? Ask your hair stylist to create a pretty chignon for the ceremony, and to tell your bridesmaids which clips to remove for a more relaxed reception look. Stunning pictures by Paul Kelly - don't miss the other credits at the bottom of the feature!

Real Aubergine Forest Wedding: Dani & Ryan

You know you're in for a treat, whenever Jose Villa pictures a wedding. He's one of the world's best wedding photographers, and he makes every big day look exceptional. Of course it helps when you have amazing wedding details like the New England Riverside Farm venue, Dani's divine Elie Saab wedding dress and stunning venue styling by Moon Canyon Design. The colour palette wings its way straight to the top of my love-list - its impossible not to look elegant in rich aubergine, and Dani's bridesmaids are gorgeous. The music-themed wedding stationery by Monumental Designs set the tone for the wedding day, as the guests were entertained by a grand piano moved outside for the ceremony. I love the barn reception and the stargazer set-up outside. You can imagine the guests searching the skies for shooting stars! For my wedding inspiration, take a look at Dani and Ryan's Rehearsal Dinner and amazing hippy-themed Engagement Shoot.

Real Sheer Romance Wedding: Sabrina & Alex - Reception Pictures

There's so many gorgeous details in this dreamy luxury wedding, you're going to want to add every picture to your wedding Pinterest board. As you know, I'm a huge fan of marquee weddings, and I've fallen for the pretty-in-pink style of Sabrina and Alex's wedding reception. With stunning flowers by Jane Campsie at the Garden Inn, a traditional tiered wedding cake {chosen by Alex}, and elegant table stationery by Emma Jo {love the romantic calligraphy}, every element is exquisite. Enjoy these fabulous pictures by Maria de Faci, and be sure to look out for the fishy details - Alex is a keen fisherman, so Sabrina made sure to reflect that in a subtle way, including a cute wedding cake topper!

We celebrated our wedding on 30th June, at Alex’s family home. We wanted to keep the decor natural, romantic and stylish, with a colour palette of neutrals and pinks.

Monique L’Huillier made my wedding dress, our florist was Jane Campsie at the Garden Inn in Stockbridge. She was an absolute dream to work with.

Alex's suit was made by Hackett.

My bridesmaids wore the Lela Rose dress from Dessy.

Maria de Faci was our wedding photographer. We liked the style of her photography and her portfolio.

Emma Jo Stationery designed our wedding stationery, including the table stationery. We wanted something elegant and simple. I love stationery and am a bit obsessed with paper, so for me it was all about the choice of paper and letterpress.

Alex chose the cake with no input from me. He wanted a patisserie style cake that basically tasted amazing! Each tier had a different filling – chocolate, Victoria sponge and carrot. Flowers from our florist were used to decorate it.

Alex is a serious fisherman so we had a fishing motif running through the wedding {on all the stationery, names of tables, cake topper, etc}.

My advice for brides.....there’s a lot of choice out there so try and narrow everything down to three as quickly as possible to help with decision making.

My other tip would be, film the day {either a friend or professional}. We used a professional {Super8 Wedding Films} and at the time I wasn’t sure whether it was a bit of an extravagance, but I was so happy we did once we watched it.
