Boho Grecian Wedding Dresses by Matthew Williamson

It's been far too long since I last blogged on divine wedding dresses. For me, choosing my wedding gown was my hardest wedding decision. I'm just not that fashion-y. Also there's a serious bridge most brides have to cross when choosing their wedding dress. On one side is normal life, where you probably wouldn't spend more than £200 on a dress, and then on the other side of the bridge are wedding dresses, which all seem to cost more than £1000. When my mother bought me my Delphine Manivet wedding dress, I had a sleepless night over how much she'd spent on my behalf. It just felt like a crazy amount of money. I felt amazing on my wedding day though, and there is a certain expectation that a bride must look better on her big day than ever before. Incidentally, if you're worrying about your wedding figure and your wedding look, do check out the blog posts from Alice Cowen, our wedding blog fitness expert, and Julia Bowden, our wedding hair and make-up expert. They've got fantastic advice on how to look your best on your wedding day. In the meantime, feast your eyes on my favourite wedding dresses from the gorgeous Matthew Williamson Bridal collection.

Finding reasonably-priced wedding dresses is incredibly difficult, which is why I'm so excited to introduce you to Belle & Bunty. This gorgeous duo make dreamy, vintage-style wedding gowns, without the crazy price tags brides have {unfortunately} come to expect. Every dress is elegant and flowing, with beautiful dipped backs, and discreet luxurious embellishments. With ten wedding dress styles to choose from, you're sure to find a gown that works for you. Incredible Tinted Wedding Dresses - Would You?

Do you already have a picture of your wedding dress in your mind's eye? If you're looking for someone to create your fantasy dress, then look no further than the NYC-based British designer, Samuelle. Inspired by the ideas and vision of each individual bride, Samuelle will create the custom wedding dress of your dreams. I've fallen hard for her delicate blush gowns! My favourite it is the one in the last picture with the pink tinted bottom.

Wow Wow Wow Jenny Packham Bridal Collection 2013

It doesn't take a huge amount to get me excited, but my pulse leapt three feet when I spotted a sneak-peak of the Jenny Packham 2013 Bridal Collection on Before the Big Day's Facebook page. I knew I had to share them with you instantly! We're talking some seriously divine wedding dresses, with an English garden theme. With names like Azalea, Marigold and Mimosa, I'm finding it hard to pick a favourite. They're not available until September this year, but any lovely brides getting married in Autumn/Winter 2012 are in for a treat! P.S. Elegant French Wedding Dresses by Delphine Manivet

After months of angst, I finally chose Delphine Manivet as my wedding dress designer, and I couldn't have been happier. Her gowns are made to measure, and exquisitely cut, with a playful modern edge. My wedding dress is called the Anatole - check out the pictures from my wedding day to see how it looked! Delphine's new collection has something for every bride, from slinky wedding dresses, to slightly poofy dresses, lacy gowns, cute mini-wedding dresses, and even wedding shorts. If I had my time again, I'd be very tempted to surprise by guests by wearing the outfit in the last pictures {on the right}. Which is your favourite?

BHLDN Siren Wedding Dress Collection

If you're a regular reader of Before the Big Day, you'll know about my slightly {ahem!} unhealthy obsession with BHLDN. It's a fabulous online wedding boutique from the same brand family as Anthropologie {another obsession}, and it's full to the brim with wedding inspiration and ideas. So imagine my excitement when I stumbled across their new Siren collection. It's romantic, vintage and mysterious at the same time, and perfect for brides planning their autumn and winter weddings. Enjoy!

Reasonably Priced Vintage Boho Wedding Dresses from Minna

One of my bug-bears is how much wedding dresses cost. Truly, it drives me up the wall to see a simple silk shift of a dress being sold for over two thousand pounds, when we all know that if it didn't have the word 'wedding' in the title, it would cost 75% less. Well finally a reasonably-priced, vintage inspired, wedding collection has been launched by eco-luxe brand Minna. Their 'To Have And To Hold' dresses cost from £200, and they also offer a stunning range of veils, hair adornments and capes to complete the romantically boho bride look! Trust me - you'll love them! P.S. My lovely wedding planner Kerry Bracken has just bought two for her own wedding day - a serious seal of approval.

Sparkly Wedding Dresses by Jenny Packham

Brides wanting to make a bit of an impact choose Jenny Packham wedding dresses. I'm deeply in love with her designs, and very nearly picked one for my own wedding gown, but she was slightly {okay, hugely} outside my budget. That didn't stop me going to a Jenny Packham evening dress sample sale, and looking longingly at a green sparkly number reduced to £999, and wondering if I had the guts to be a bride in green {I didn't!}. Feast your eyes on my favourites from her wedding collection, they're the perfect wedding dress inspiration, even if you can't afford the real thing. Remember Jenny Packham dresses have fabulous resale value, and you can find second-hand gowns on eBay and specialist bridal websites. Read my blog posting on Your Wedding Dress for Less for more helpful hints on buying a wedding dress on a budget.

Vintage Romantic Wedding Dresses by Claire Pettibone

Choosing your wedding dress is one of the hardest decisions in the run-up to your wedding {unless you're like my friend Erin, who's first dress was The One!}. It took me months, and by the time I'd finally picked my divine Delphine Manivet gown, much of the fun had gone out of the experience. I'd just let myself get too worried about price and style, and then it all got a bit late! So, with the aim of making wedding dress shopping a happier experience for Before the Big Day wedding blog readers, every week I'm going to feature my favourite wedding dress designers. All the best wedding inspiration, at the tips of your laptop tapping fingers! First up, UK wedding dress designer Claire Pettibone.

Stunning Wedding Dress Separates

Anthropologie-inspired wedding boutique BHLDN has struck on a fabulous wedding trend for 2012. Wedding dress separates. You buy a top and two bottoms, or a bottom and two tops, and you can mix and match them as your wedding day progresses. It means you can swap your swingy skirt after the reception for a pair of sexy shorts for dancing. Or add a silky camisole instead of a corset for guilt-free cake-guzzling. It's a genius idea, as it keeps your guests guessing, and guarantees a longer life for your wedding day outfits. What do you think? Would you wear separates on your wedding day? P.S. Net-a-Porter's Wedding Boutique also has a fabulous selection of wedding dress separates.
