Real Luxe New York City Wedding: Tricia & Raheem

Is it just me, or is everything bigger and better in the US of A? As we all shiver in the wintry weather, I thought we should celebrate the brilliant winter wedding location of New York City. Stunning couple Tricia and Raheem tied the knot in super-style with hot pink as their signature colour, which they totally worked at their reception. Check out pink lighting - sooo flattering, and the amazing table flower displays mixed with the the fat golden candles. A big mention has to go out for the elegant-but-sexy bridesmaids' dresses, Tricia was kind to her girlfriends, and I can totally see them wearing those dresses again! Thank you to Punam Bean for her fantastic shots - what do you think of the pink?

Real Desert Monochrome Wedding: Angela & David

This wedding makes me want to get married in the desert! Not the first location that comes to mind when you dream of your big day, but just wait till you see these pictures. Angela and David got married this winter in New Mexico, against a stunning pastel background of mountains and forest. Shot by the amazing Stephanie Williams, I'm totally obsessed with all the gorgeous details, not least the marshmallow camp fire. Don't miss Angela's gardenia and feather bouquet, her elegant fake-fur stole and silver-glitter decorations. And check out the baby's breath in their table bouquets, it's this season's flower of choice - cheap, cheerful and utterly romantic.

DIY Christmas Wedding Favours

Edible wedding favours are always popular, and these gorgeous gingerbread men are the best addition to a winter wedding. Get your girlfriends baking, and encourage them to use their imagination in the decorating. Just imagine a gingerbread man bride and groom! These would also make a fantastic extra Christmas present - DIY your own with this recipe from The Primrose Bakery Book via Daily Candy.

Fabulous Weekend Wedding Blog Links

This weekend is going to be all about getting in the festive spirit for Christmas. I'll be buying my tree from Columbia Flower Market, along with as many wreaths, poinsettias and baubles that I can fit in my little car. This year we're having a pretend Christmas at our house on Thursday 22nd December, because The Boy and I are going away somewhere hot on Christmas Eve. So I'm determined to get the flat looking as Christmassy as possible for all our family. There's tonnes of DIY Christmas ideas if you look on Pinterest here, and lots would work perfectly at a winter wedding of Christmas themed wedding. Now we've just got to wait for the snow, although in the north of England, you guys have already had a sprinkling haven't you? Enjoy your weekend, and these lovely wedding blog links! Don't forget to come back on Monday, when I've got an extra-special Christmas present for all you brides-to-be!

Real Winter Red-Themed Wedding: April & Kit

Red, the colour of passion and shoes! April and Kit decided on a winter wedding and celebrated their big day in style, with bright blue and rich red as their theme colours. A bold choice, it totally paid off, and made for a bright and cheerful wedding, despite the grey day. April completely nailed bridal-chic, and looked stunning in a Sottero & Midgely dress, cosy red coat and awesome red shoes by Chinese Laundry. I love the way the bridesmaids' necklaces and the ribbons on their bouquets match exactly, such fabulous styling! These gorgeous pictures are thanks to US photographer Stephanie Williams.

Real Snowy Winter Wedding: Lara & Simon

Have you ever read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe? Well this wedding feels like it's straight out of the wintery wonderland through the wardrobe doors. It's set in the beautiful snowy, Dorset landscape, with stunning photographs, which are so evocative of winter, that they almost make you shiver. Lara and Simon celebrated their big day just before Christmas last year at Kingston Country Courtyard near Corfe Castle. I'm loving how the reds of the bridemaids' dresses and flowers stand out against the snow, and the elegance of Lara's cute feather fascinator and embroidered wedding dress. I'm seriously impressed by Tom Redman's fantastic pictures, particularly the fun shots of Lara and Simon throwing snowballs at each other - you can tell they were having a brilliant day!
