Will You Be My Bridesmaid Cards

Huge excitement! I'm going to be a bridesmaid for the first time since I was eight years old! My lovely school friend is getting married in December, so it's going to be a gorgeous winter wedding, and I'm already bursting with ideas for her big day. It's going to be so exciting helping her get ready on her wedding day, and walking down the aisle. I can't wait to be the useful person armed with safety pins, plasters, pain-killers and champagne! How many bridesmaids are you going to have on your wedding day? I love the idea of asking formally, with a card - or sending one afterwards to make the moment official. Take a look at these gorgeous 'Will You Be My Bridesmaid Cards' by The First Snow. They're hand-painted designs, and you can choose from black, blush and mint dresses. Plus they come with a pretty sticker for the back of the envelope. The First Snow also creates gorgeous wedding invitations and wedding cake toppers, and much, much more!

Autumn 2013 Bridesmaids Trends - Nude or Jewel?

One of my favourite wedding shops of all time, BHLDN, has just released their autumn 2013 collection. Yes, I know it's way to early for summer brides to be thinking about autumn, but if you're planning a wedding for October, you're going to need to start picking your bridesmaids' dresses. Your first decision will be which of the two key trends to choose from.....are you going to go for nude or jewel shades? My vote is for the bright berry tones - how about you?

Real English Countryside Themed Wedding: Deborah & Ned

Take one Monique Lhuillier wedding gown, add an elegant pair of couture shoes by Jimmy Choo and mix it up with a countryside theme wedding, and you've got one very happy wedding blogger. I love Deborah and Ned's English wedding style - their church service and marquee reception, the traditional milk jugs filled with wild flowers, the bunting, Pimms cocktails and summer pudding wedding cake. It's a celebration of everything English, and it's gorgeous! Other great stealworthy ideas include the bridesmaids patterned maxi-dresses, Ned's iris buttonhole and Deborah's small-but-perfectly-formed bouquet. I think small bouquets might be making a comeback after this mega-trend! Huge thanks to Moments Captured for her beautiful pictures!

Introducing The Welbeck Clinic for Perfect Wedding Teeth

So I'm going to let you into a bit of a secret. Whenever I'm out at a drinks party, or chatting to someone new at work, I really notice their teeth. It's like my own little fetish. I collect people with good teeth! I had my own teeth whitened before I got married, and it definitely made me feel more confident for my wedding pictures. It made such a difference to my look, that the best man was convinced I'd had something more done....like a nose job! That's one reason why I'm delighted to introduce The Welbeck Clinic for cosmetic dentistry. They're the smile makeover experts in London, and they offer an amazing range of procedures from a complete smile makeover to teeth whitening. If you're considering veneers, they're a very simple, painless procedure, and you can get them done with only a month to go to your wedding day. Dr Joe Oliver has fitted over 20,000 veneers and is very experienced, counting Hollywood royalty like Helena Bonham-Carter among his clients! Take a look at their before and after smile makeovers to get a sense of how good your teeth could look on your wedding day.

Je T'Aime - French Flower Crowns For Your Bridesmaids

When I was growing up, my Mum would aways say that I looked 'French', whenever I'd made a particular effort to look good. So for me, 'looking French' has always been the byword for chic and stylish. And that's why it's not surprising to me that Parisian designer, Pauline Dröm, has taken my favourite trend for this summer - flower crowns - and given them a touch of je ne sais quoi. Buy them for your bridesmaids and flower girls, and sport one yourself at all of this summer's BBQ's.

Vintage Tea-Party Wedding Shoot

One wedding trend that's refusing to go out of fashion is the vintage tea-party. If you combine cake and pretty, your guests are always going to be happy, and the icing on the cake {sorry!} is that tea-parties are much more budget-friendly than a sit-down dinner. Order sandwiches from Marks & Spencer, ask your bridesmaids to get baking, buy your teabags in bulk, and you're well on the way to wedding success. For sheer prettiness, you can't do better than vintage china - collect your own from car boot sales and charity shops, or try a supplier like A Cup of Vintage - who'll also cater your wedding tea-party if you want! For more wedding inspiration, take a look at this gorgeous shoot by Eddie Judd with Jay Archer Floral Design and A Cup of Vintage at Fetcham Park. I love how they've used the vintage cups as vases for single rose blooms - place setting and pretty in one! Don't miss the pictures from my own tea-party wedding.

Temporary Tattoo Wedding Favours

Two of my friends recently hosted the most amazing wedding ever, with trillions of wedding details, and enough stealworthy ideas to blow your mind. I can't wait to blog it, but in the meantime, I'm feeling super-inspired by one of their fancy dress favour ideas - temporary tattoos. They chose anchors, because they have a special meaning for them {check out me sporting one on my Instagram feed}, but I've fallen for the clean lines of these typography tattoos by Spirit Ink and Pepper Ink. They both have tonnes more designs, and can create custom designs for your wedding. I love the idea of a temporary tattoo save the date!

Real Eco-Friendly Rustic Wedding - Minyoung & Joe

When the bride plays the violin at her own wedding, you're know you're not just dealing with any old big day. I've totally falled for the gorgeous Minyoung and her elegant style. From the subtle succulents in her hair, to her gorgeous ruffle-backed dress, she's class personified. The green theme carried on throughout the wedding with a garden ceremony, pistachio macaroons and cake pops displayed on vintage green cake stands. I'm also loving the place setting plant pots, and Minyoung and Joe's sweetheart table for two - always a good idea if you're planning to circulate during the dinner, and don't want to leave a gap for your other guests to talk over. Truly stunning pictures published with thanks to Jack from Sarah Yates Photography.
